We are happy to announce that today, we secured the funding for our solar panel initiative to benefit the Partners in Mission Food Bank, and it all started over a year ago. Steve Tripp, an energy systems engineering student, had the ambitious idea to use solar panels as an income generator for our food bank. His education at St. Lawrence College had made him familiar with energy efficient technology and he saw this as an opportunity to help the local food bank put this technology to work- and so the process began. The Spirit of Entrepreneurship

(almost) Walking on Sunshine!
Just this week we received excellent news, due to the hard work of Kate Armstrong and James Krikorian, a sponsorship application to the Student Association was accepted!
We now have $10,000 from the Student Association to go to the food bank for the purposes of purchasing solar panels.
Additionally, we have received $500 from the Lion’s Club and Mr. and Mrs. Jock and Cathy Pirrie!
This means that with these donations (along with the $5,000 our SIFE team is donating), we are only $34,500 short of our $75,000 mark and the sponsorship team continues to assemble and deliver sponsorship requests.
Thank you to our donors! More updates to come as we progress!
